The list is generated by the VidIQ service, which goes beyond simply tracking views by also incorporating sharing data from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, among other data sources, in an effort to measure true engagement. Every video is also ranked with VidIQ’s proprietary Score value, which is said to help judge the likelihood of a video being promoted in YouTube Related Videos, Search and Recommended Videos. The most recent of these interactive lists, embedded below, gives Gillette's 100 Years of Hair commercial the top spot, thanks to its almost eight million views.
