The Playful Signage Interventions of Clet Abraham

Chris Dickman Thu, 05/09/2013 - 09:30

Clet Abraham is a French artist currently living in Florence, Italy, who in recent years has turned to street art. Clet is no Banksy in terms of celebrity but his whimsical signage interventions in cities across Europe are creating a growing following. While graphically striking, Clet apparently always ensures that his additions to the signs don't interfere with the mundane intent they were designed to communicate. His most ambitious project to date was adding a giant nose to the medieval tower of San Niccolo. The clips below show Clet at work, pedaling around town and wreaking havoc on the signage. Makes you want to get out there and sticker something!
