Our fondness for burgers shows no signs of wavering, despite... well, despite everything. But while the giant chains continue to flip patties by the billions, there are a growing number of alternatives. These are typically owner-operated restaurants, often small, with just a few locations. They survive by defining themselves differently in terms of their industrial-scale competition. Whether it's due to a more human environment, better ingredients, larger servings or even an organic focus, these "burger joints" are reminiscent of diners from the golden years of the hamburger's long history. As such, their graphical identity is less slick than that of well-known burger brands. I've collected a few of my favorite examples below, along with some burger logos from the Stockogos.com collection.
Know of any funky burger joint logos we missed? Let us know and we'll add them.
