However it's important to note that we reserve the right to withhold or delay payments as we deem reasonably necessary, including for new designers, unusual or suspicious activity or other reasons for up to 60 days. This is to protect the designers and the site against any fraudulent activity.

Sadly, there was a big influx of re-sold vector art with some new designers. I think Ivan is being cautious to make sure that no buyer gets burned.
As long as you get paid, that's all that matters. But yes, the quicker the better! :D

The 60 days time frame will definitely deter fraud. These people like to act fast before the card holder realizes anything is wrong. Everyone should keep em peeled and hopefully the site will thrive!
It applies to new designers, while for the standard time in order not to be a new designer here, how many months ? sorry for my basic speak english...

Ivan, delaying the payments, is one thing. Ignoring a designer-member's emails, is another and it's getting pretty disturbing and un-professional.

A couple more questions.
Is there any way I can get sure that the design is actually sold? It's just I've seen here some cases that the logo is being purchased but the buyer doesn't pay at the end, changes his mind or something. Or I have to wait those two months to find this out?
And one more question within the previous one actually - does the buyer have to wait those two months as well just to ask me for a name change or any other changes he/she prefers?
Yes, it takes up to 6 weeks to check if the buyer is legit or the form of payment is legit. But sometimes it's much faster.
The buyer doesn't have to wait, he can download the logo immediately and we should do the changes asap as well.
I know it sounds counter intuitive, but in 99% of the cases the buyer is legit and we can't punish legitimate buyers for the 1%.
However if we don't have this check in place scammers will ruin the site for all of us.

Love the site, great work! Have you thought of adding an estimated payment date on the Credits Earned page for each sold logo, like shipping works when you buy things online, so we know what to expect? That way we don't have to ask and back you guys up even further. If you are behind or there is a hold on a payment just have another column that says the status of the payment. That may reduce the number of questions you have to answer and allow you to focus on other things. Thanks again for this wonderful site.
I can't do it because many times it doesn't depend on us. PayPal just tells us it's being checked and they don't give any deadline.

i have a client who wants to pay me direct but doesnt have paypal. Im in South Africa hes in Canada, i have given him my credit cards details he needs to deposit into my account but he says he doesnt know how, any suggestions.

Your client can pay using PayPal without a PayPal account. When you sent him an invoice, Paypal gives him/her the choice of paying with a credit card or with a bank account.

Mine is over a month now but thanks for the honesty and the update.
I've sold 3 logos in the last two weeks, one I have done adjustments for, one didn't need them and the one I sold today is asking for other files. I think the payment time needs speeding up because I feel I shouldn't do anymore work until payment is finalized. The client may have to wait for alterations because of it. I don't think the clients would be happy if I explained, I haven't been paid yet so you'll have to wait for those alterations !
You have to do the alterations immediately. You can't wait for the payment. Sorry!

I'm now waiting on 4 sales and currently working on alterations for 3 of them, which is like working for free. Can you let us know what the problem is. I don't want to be working for free, because you say the alterations have to be done right away my work away from SL is on hold.
