Page Views

Are there any plans to reintroduce the page views for logos?

I found this to a good indicator when using social media and I think it encourages people to tweet and like if they see the page count going up a fair bit. This can only be a good thing for the site.

Can this post be a request for the return, thanks.

it will be best for unique views rather than all views!

Unique views per day or week or month, per user or IP? Can you define?

I think it would be best if it's total views by IP.

Most service providers give their users a dynamic IP by default, don't they? So, it is fairly difficult to get an exact "unique user" count when dealing with statistics. I would stick with an unfiltered count of total views. Also, wouldn't a filtering function be too expensive on the server?

My 2¢ worth,

Spintherism.

I guess unique views per IP will give a more relevant count than with no filter at all!

Yes per IP per day I think. Having it count everything is not accurate at all. With the old way - You may think your logo is getting a lot of views but it could end up being either you or the same person (or even robots!) going back to it several times. How would one really know if their own marketing worked then?

great point! same person view should only count one time.

would be great to see how many people had a look at each logo :)

The best solution would have been a possibility to paste a Google Analytics code into one's account, so every designer would be able to see the statistics of all of his logotypes. Such a system is in place for example in carbonmade.com. You can create a portfolio there, generate a Google Analytics tracking code, and paste it into your carbonmade.com account. After that, your carbonmade page loads with your analytics code implemented, and you can track your visitors in Analytics as you would normally do with any regular webpage/website (see who looked at your logo(s), when, where did he come from, what were the keywords he used to find the logo's page, how long did he stayed on the page, what continent he's from, what browser/system/etc he used, and many more info)...

Analytics is free, and since all the tracking is done on Google's servers, stocklogos' server would not be bombarded with queries at every page load like with an internal counter.

This is great idea. We will do this. It's not too easy to do, but not too hard either.

Great news! Looking forward to testing it soon! :)

Suppose this stats should show comments too, really hard to look through logos and see if anyone commented the logo!

You can simply subscribe to every one of your logos, and every time a comment is made, you will be notified by e-mail.

Any update on that feature Ivan? Will it be introduced soon? Thanks! :)
