It would be nice to go back to the old format where if somebody viewed a designer's logo, they would see more of that particular designer's other logos.
Instead, they now see 'similar logos', which for the most part, don't look anything like the logo they are viewing.
If a potential client is interested in a specific logo, that designer should benefit by having their logos shown below, instead of advertising other designer's logos.

Like Ivan said before... Clients, for the most part, are not interested in a certain designer's work, but interested in a certain subject. That's why "similar logos" is based on relevant keywords. If a client wants to see a designer's work he can click on the designer's username.
By the way, there was never an "old format" where clients would "see more of that particular designer's other logos" on a logo page. You might be confused with another website. :o)
Peace,
Spintherism.
If a logo is well tagged (avoiding generic tags like 'colorful', etc) the new similar logos works great! Remember it's a two way street - your logos show on other similar logo pages. Tag well!
You can only get down that street if your registration plates have SF tagged on the them, and I'm not talking San Fran'.
I agree with OP it should be replaced with More Logos From Sam Designer.
As it is now it is not working (for the most part).
Disagree. Potential buyers are not here to see more of any one designer's work, but to find a specific design that will meet their needs. Seeing someone's body of work is not that hard to do here. Finding the right design is more challenging and the site should be geared towards making that task easier. Similar logos is an awesome way of helping the buyer.
How do you know the SF thing. I'm looking at the similar logos on some logos and am not seeing that at all.
I'm willing to reconsider, but you need to give me a good reason why it is a better system. And you should approach it from the client's point of view.
Hey Ivan, can you confirm that SF status impacts similar logos placement? It seems to me that tags are the main driving factor.
SF status is not a factor in similar logos placement. Only tags.
We never had the system you mentioned, but it was proposed before. It would no increase your sales because while you would benefit from showing your logos on your logo pages, but your logos would not show up on other designer's logo pages. And, it would be less useful for clients. Imagine if a client is looking at a bird logo, do you think he cares about your other tree, turtle and house logos? No. He wants to see other bird logos he can choose from.
Okay, must be having memory problems.
I was looking to buy a logo for a laundry shop earlier, and I found pretty simple to search for the logos - but it would have been better if you can click the designer's name and find what his other works are - like Q&A sites where you see all the answers to the question, and then all the answers of a particular member. It may help to sell.
You can click a designer name to see his logos.
Are you a designer or a client?
