I did... as all the designers that have logos on the sold logos page (http://stocklogos.com/logos/recent/purchased)...

UPDATE: I just had a look at the 'Credit earned' profile page and as of today, I have sold 20 logotypes for a total of 1917.91 dollars (net sum after all the Stocklogos and PayPal fees). I sold my first logo here in February 2010 (9 months ago). Stocklogos.com is a good marketplace for designers and clients.

"...in February 2010 (9 months ago)" ????!?!?!?!

Spintherism's picture

Actually it's less than 9 months; he rounded up. You probably didn't notice that Molumen wrote that on October 2010, right? ;o)

Peace,

Spintherism.

Yep, two logos sold and I've only been a member for less than three months (I think? ;)

Update: 16 logos now sold with a total earnings before fees of $2597 - which ain't too shabby :)

congrats, well done.

Thanks Simon. It's funny really, as logo sales have dropped off recently. It seems to come in waves. Mind you, it doesn't help that I culled all of my designs to start again ;)

What is the most expensive logo sold yet? Wish there was an easier way to find stuff like that. Also I noticed that sold logos are shown by the date they were made.. not when they were sold. I think it would be more inspiring to see them in the order sold.

Sold my first one a few days after I joined. got lucky I think! ;)

babawich,
on the sold logos page you have a drop-down filter. If you want to know what is the most expensive logo sold, just select 'most expensive' in the dropdown menu and watch the magic happen. :)

So far the most expensive sold logos are:

http://stocklogos.com/node/6994
http://stocklogos.com/node/6401

Both are sold at $550. And both are brief logos.

The amount of sales is on the rise, and so if the amount of daily visitors.

TO ALL:
Keep on posting great logos at reasonable prices, and you'll make sells. It's as simple as that. Always think ahead, about how your logo can be adapted to real life situations, and keep things simple. A good logo is rarely a complex one. And remember that posting crap for $1000 (like http://stocklogos.com/node/6876) will never make you a seller. Clients are not stupid.

I tried selecting the most expensive option and got $50 logos on top. When it is most recent it does not do it in the order of the sales it seems it does it on the date it was made. If we were go to as most recent then there would only have been 3 sales since I made one which I am sure is completely wrong.

when you select the order by price option (most expensive) the logos are ordered by price from low to high (ascending). The most expensive logos are the last ones on the last page. The other possibilities are in fact buggy, I told that a long time ago to Ivan (the admin) but he probably forgot.

Nono, it will be fixed! Sorry for the delay.

Update:

I've now sold 19 logos with a total credit earned of £2,975. It's about 1 a month.

v_sgraphics's picture

no, not yet, but hopefully i'll get better and sell some.

Tolyambo's picture

not yet) i think my logos are quite ugly

AKMulligan's picture

I'm still hoping. I've had a bunch of logos blogged, tweeted, Liked, and favorited and gotten one bid that was half my asking price, but no sales yet.

admin's picture

Some of your logos are decent. I think you will sell soon. Just upload more, increase your chances.

Avalikmom's picture

I've sold five :-)
Total $1702 before deductions

Erofeev's picture

Really, if I would sell one logo - I would be so happy that I'm not bad in design ;)

Avalikmom's picture

The more logos you submit, the better chance you'll have. Maybe enter some of the briefs.

I joined SL (or even logo design ;) ) on 10/1/2012 and till now i have 2 sales and have 172 credits in total :) I didn't know that I have this hidden talent. So, it is encouraging! I am more than glad to be on SL and being a part of a nice designers' community. Your sincere comments on my work will be much appreciated. thanks!

admin's picture

You need to upload more logos to increase chances.

eMindz's picture

sure!
My average is 5 per week but as I'm now trying to focus on quality and updating my weak logos, this average may reduce.

from October to end of the December I sold 8 logos. $2050 gross earnings. But for me than sales is stopped :(

Nuwan Wickramasinghe's picture

Yes! I did.
I earned some more money after sales as well doing their stationary design. Some time that amount exceeds logo price too.

All I learnt here is, just upload the logo and then wait till it sells. Some of my designs are sold after 14 month! (http://stocklogos.com/logo/think-results-inc-2 / http://stocklogos.com/logo/united-bank)

This is a good place to earn money. But you have a huge competition. That makes you better and better.

Must be great for ego when logo is sold I guess! Will work, wait and see. With every new logo created we learn which is great too.
Congratulate to all of you who sold one or more logos! :)

I sold two logos in two months! One in a month for me too.

About logo selling do you find enabling bidding better for increasing your sales?
Did anyone feel this feature helping?

NancyCarterDesign's picture

I experiment frequently with this, I'm not set on either way yet. The most frustrating part is that you can't counter offer, you can only accept or decline an offer and there's no way of communicating with bidder except to leave a comment on the logo. I think this will be changing soon tho.

Cross The Lime's picture

I am hoping for a change there. My way to counter-offer now is to change the price to my lowest acceptable price when receiving an offer, and then disable bidding. Take it or leave it.

I am personally insulted by $100 offers, though. And sorely tempted to just double the price after those. :)
