Is that Eskimo logo in your link: http://stocklogos.com/sites/default/files/logo-history-eskimo.png a version used by Wall's ice cream in other countries? http://logos.wikia.com/wiki/Wall%27s - At first I though someone had posted it on here as logo, and was going to call the clipart police :)
Anyway, the typeface looks a bit like Benguiat Frisky, not exactly the same, but very close. The logo you're referring to was designed in the 1960's, so it's very possible that it's a hand-drawn type.
This link: http://www.identifont.com/similar?4AZ - shows you Benguiat and other associated typefaces.
Yes, at the time most logotypes were hand drawn.
Heheheh I got something strange

Yeah, I think it's the Wall's logo as used in different parts of the world.
Thank you phunk for your advice but unfortunately i already knew that font, similar but far from the one we're discussing..to clear about wall's: from the end of the 90s wall's, acquired by unilever, start to buy the best ice cream factory all around the world. after a few years unilever adopted the "heart" tactic: leaving the name to keep ice cream fans. the next step, of course, is that to drop out every single name leaving the heart that will became, all around the world, the most recognizable (and very soon probably the only) brand who makes ice creams.I made a little research about the brand: it has been probably made for a small italian ice cream company named "Soave" in the 60s as you can see in the last pic that i've attached. in the late 70s, probably 1979 or maybe 1980, Toseroni, another ice cream company based in Rome, Italy, probably acquired the Soave Company adopting that Logo. In 1983 or 1984 Toseroni and Eldorado merged manteining the logo of the first and the name of the latter. in 1989 (moreless) the biggest italian ice cream company "Algida", bought Eldorado becaming the facto a trust in Italy. In the middle of nineties, unilever acquired Algida as well other ice cream company in the world, changing immediately the logo but maintaining all names. But i still have to discover the mistery about the connection between Eskimo, Toseroni (or Eldorado), Langnese, Frisko and others ice cream company taht adopted the brand with the red and white tent behind: who acquired who for first? :D
