I've had someone who bid on one of my logos (I accepted the offer) and it didn't progress any further, so I was wondering if fake bidding happens often? Did anyone else here encounter this kind of thing?

Hi, the bid may be from a potencial client and he hasn't just motified about your decision. How much time has past from the time you accepted it? Also it could be fake. We can't know for sure. Also they are not obligated to purchase it even if you accept an offer. So don't get big hopes on bids.
Quite often clients chance their luck on the price of a design. Happens all the time. Just a factor that affects most markets. Clients/buyers will always want something cheaper. Then again, once they make a bid they may change their mind too and decide upon something else.
Yes, we do have these "fake" biddings. There are many reasons for that. Sometimes clients change their minds for some reason.
