Ben Berry, the designer explained the thinking behind the design: "Mark gets a lot of mail thanking him from people with amazing personal stories made possible because of Facebook. We wanted to make something a little more personal and special for him to respond."

Oh cool!
wow! It's really great look...........
Great stationery designs like this one are not very difficult to create since they rely (in a big part) on the quality of the paper and the printing technology being used. Embossing, engraving and watermarks always look great and 'pricy' because they remind of vintage documents, diplomas and banknotes. I had the chance to create quite a few of similar stationery designs while working in the Czech Republic. They were printed at Jan Petr Obr printing house (http://www.stationersguild.org/news/2009/07/05/european-stationery-jan-p...) and the results are always mind blowing. But it is very hard to find a client willing to pay for such stationery designs as they are very expensive to produce.
Agree 100%
Frankly speaking, I find it quite plain and retro for a famous person like Mark. I was expecting something a bit more unique and very different. Somehow, I got the impression that it's a government document of some sort than something coming from a social networking celebrity. Oh well, it's just my opinion anyway.
I've seen a lot more mind blowing printing/ production techniques done especially on business cards. By the way, does he have one?
I love embossed stationery; I think it looks very classic and timeless. It looks like the stationery is older than he is...haha
И что тут cool?
Обычное тиснение. Печать перегружена какими-то картинками.
Тупо шрифты. Никакого изыска!
В-общем, стандартная бюрократическая печать.
loved the idea, ben. but why use bank gothic instead of going all the way with klavika or lucida grande?
cool!
With the billions that he now has let's hope that he pays for someone to sort his hair out and iron his shirts!
