I put together a collection of logos on SL. I figure if others wanted to put together collections and post here for viewing and promoting, that'd be cool.

Mine's for Halloween - my favorite SL monsters & creatures, plus my own too of course: http://nancycarterdesign.blogspot.com/2011/10/collection-of-24-monster-logos-you-can.html (please tweet and RT :)

I don't do any real blogging and found this a *little* tedious to put together and set up with the proper links. If anyone has any suggestions for site that make this kinda thing super easy... that'd be awesome.

These blogs you guys are doing are really great and very helpful to grow in google. I can already see the effects. And it's so important to have these articles shared on twitter and facebook by all of us too. Not only because of the traffic, but most importantly because google sees these articles as relevant and important because of the shares, so it give more importance to stocklogos in return. If anyobody else has the energy to make such a blog please do!

You're right, but create an ambigram is very difficult.

The most important part about what you guys are doing it improving our search engine relevancy, because that's what brings in clients looking to buy a logo. And search traffic is going up every month. It's a long term game. It takes more than a year to build up search engine reputation. See the chart.

Cheers Nancy :) i do promise to return this wonderful work one day, you're an asset to the site.

One thing I've notice though Nancy is this... I quite often browse the internet on my iPad, and some of the recent blogs aren't compatible with the tablet. Not your fault obviously, it's Blogspots dynamic view feature that isnt compatible with Twitter app. I can still view them, but it takes a few extra clicks to do so, and open it up in Safari. Not a big issue, but potential clients might not want to mess about doing this if they're impatient etc. Just an observation.

Nancy, thanks for posting these collections. There are some truly wonderful logos appearing here, many that don't otherwise see the light of day. They not only promote StockLogos and the good work here, but provide inspiration for all.

I have to work harder to produce work worth noticing! :) Part of the problem is that I don't design often enough to hone either art or skill. I was in Hong Kong last week and found myself surrounded by new logos that I couldn't help have my eyes drawn to. If it hadn't been such a busy trip otherwise, I would have stopped to take notes or sketches for inspiration. The notebook is something I definitely need to start thinking about.

Well, I started to on Blogspot to create some collections... you know, return the favour to all of your excellent work. But, simply put, Blogger is terrible to use! Spent ages setting up a login, getting images etc... only to have the site kick me off mid way through all the work I've done and now I can't get back into the site. No reason why, just booted off mid way through flow. What a pain in the bum... *grrr*

Think I'll stick with Tumblr instead.... :/

Hi Nancy, it would appear not. Didn't realise that until now. You can 'like' posts, which on Tumblr are called notes. I suspect if anyone wants to Tweet the collection they'll have to do it manually by copying and pasting the URL. Members on Tumblr can repost the the post to their own page if they like it enough though, so the collection can be passed around that way. Also, I've added links back to each logo and sited SL as the site source, so all tags and links link back to here. So not the best way, but just a different way that I quite like and thought I would try. I did try Blogspot (Blogger) but found it incredibly tedious, very badly laid out and just a pain to use - maybe that was because it was Friday though, and I was a tad rough from a gig the night before ;)

It depends on the theme you're using. Some themes dont have a share button for each post, other do. You can see a little button, bottom right of your post with the name "share". Install a theme with social integration and you ll see :)
