Something I've been mulling over, so bear with me ;)
The site is fast approaching the half million dollar sale mark. It wasn't that long ago that we were at a quarter million.
How about a site prize for the designer that gets 'that' sale that takes the site over this landmark? Maybe an even bigger one for the millionth? Some way of celebrating the efforts of everyone concerned.
I'm not sure what the prize could be. But if there's an incentive, it might encourage other members who don't actively engage too much in the site, other than uploading designs, to maybe make more efforts to help promote sales etc. It could even be tied in with some kind of media promotion?
I'm sure there will be detractors of this idea, especially if it went to a sale of a design that other members seem fit to deride and ridicule in said threads :/
Anyway, just thinking out loud. I'm sure it will come to nothing ;)

With an average prise of $150 for the sold logos i think we can wait for the goal of half a million.
Actually, the average price is $210.15 right now. Which would mean that we need to sell about 500 logos to hit the goal of half a million. At the current rate, that's about 4.5 months. So we are looking at the last week of October 2012. :o)
That's what I mean. It's probably not that far away really.
Sounds like a good idea. I'll think about it. :)
We haven't been promoting the site heavily because I want all the bugs to be fixed before that. So hopefully once we start promoting that 1M mark will come twice as fast. :)
Sales productivity has increased and so have the average price of sold logos (it is now $216.48). So, it looks like we will hit the half a million mark sooner than expected. At the current rate, new calculations point to the last week of August or the first week of September.
To add to that a bit, this site as of late now houses a ton of very nice works! I haven't been here for quite along time and when I checked in again after the revamp of the site, I was taken by a very pleasant surprise that Ivan's efforts have made a giant leap for the better.
Kudos Ivan:)
Thanks for the kind support. We are working hard on your previously requested improvements.
