Every year since 1923 AIGA has organized its juried “50 Books/50Covers” competition, which recognizes excellence in book design and production. The winners of the most recent competition, which covers books published in 2010, provides a snapshop of the work of a global community of designers and agencies. A book cover, after all, is nothing so much as an exercise in branding, something to keep in mind while browsing the collection.
