Absolutely lovely stuff there matey :) 5*
Thanks, I'm glad you like it, 'cause it took me a lot of sweat to draw, scan, clean, trace and rearrange (about 11 hours in total) to make it look the way I wanted.
It's a pity the previewing image doesn't do justice to the illustration though!
i love it ! Smoke looks amazing. I wonder how it would look with smaller font. (5*)
Perfect, the detail is awesome
excelente! 5 estrellas molumen =þ)
and you seize the perfect price for such work. well done.!
yes, lovely illustration and design...stars, kudos and congrats on proper pricing too! ;) PS: Now (looking at that).. how can you think that designers and artists are two different animals???
Designers and artists are indeed different in one major thing: a designer can spontaneously create works of art, and therefore be an artist if he has an artistic heart and some talent. On the other hand, an artist cannot spotaneously become a (good) designer because designing is about 99% skills and 1% talent.
Just like a wolf can be domesticared and behave like a dog, while a domesticated dog can never become a real wolf (I know, it's a weird comparison, but hey, it's the best I can do right now!)
:)))
Great design should always be usable, be it logo design for stationery use or signs etc, or industrial design for every day objects such as chairs or spoons etc. Great art is not necessarily useable but equally enjoyable to look at. Both design and art can be separate or individual to each other depending on how they are to be used or viewed. Both professions are highly creative in their own right. Anyone can do both with practice and patience, that is not to be confused with ability. Some people can do it without practice and just have natural ability :)
This logo is technically accomplished, but is equally creative that any artist or designer would be proud of. This logo is a perfect unison of both skills!
agree on both comments from MM and FFF! regardless of it's artistic origins, it rocks as a logo!
..well I guess I'm a wolf and a dog...in other words, in a constant state of confusion. ;/
:)))
Have you posted a link to this on the Via Rail brief?
Will do! Thanks Cathy! :)

Thanks! :)
Molumen, this logo is a massive success here on SL, there is no doubt. I'm thinking it's a great illustration but is it a great logo? Is it easily reproduced for all media formats? Would it work at a very small size?
I've held back on commenting but it has bugged me so I've had to. I don't want it to sound like I'm putting it down as I'm not, just, is it such a workable logo?
This logo works quite well at small size, like for example on a business card. You can see it here: http://www.behance.net/gallery/Voyageurs-publishing-house/865807
The example you have put forward works and shows how important previews to the logos are. This also shows how banning outside links is a bad move.
this logo is just perfect. Congrats!
Thank you! :)
