Recruiting company that helps other companies find great talent. May also do some work helping jobseekers.

Special Requirements

Something that will look great against a white background and black background. Clean, simple, some color. Would like a logo that just says "First Day" (or "first day" or "firstday") and one that could also show "First Day Recruiting". Ideally, would include a stand-alone icon that would look great as an avatar. Avoid sunshine and suits/ties? Want to appeal to both genders, but not look like a breakfast place? :)

Target audience

Other companies; some work with jobseekers. Any age, any industry.

Your objectives

My business approach is simple, honest, thoughtful. I want to highlight "First Day" and downplay Recruiting in the logo. If they're all together and the same size, I've realized it can sound like it's my first day recruiting. :)

Really looking forward to seeing some great logos! I've added a bunch of logos to my Favorites as examples of what appeals to me visually. Hopefully that will help too! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Quick update: I had debated calling the company beanstalk recruiting or something similar, but there seemed to be other companies out there already. I like the trees concept, but am debating whether the tree immediately conveys the idea of recruiting? However, the idea of a seed and/or growing plant is still a very appealing option. I appreciate your samples for consideration!

Also, I updated the contest notes to note that I want to highlight "First Day" and downplay Recruiting in the logo. If they're all together and the same size, I've realized it can sound like it's my first day recruiting. :)

Isee in your liked works 15 differents ways to represent your company, you mark 50% of the upload works ,is very confusse to now the rigth logo for you, people work for that hard, and to now what you need, should you be more specific and concentrate on the concept that you are looking for.

So, I think you're saying I've not been specific on how I want to represent my company, because I'm liking a wide variety of logos? You are correct. I have a strong interest in a variety of representations and I don't wish to limit the creativity of the designers to one specific design. So far, they have come up with a great variety beyond what I'd even thought of originally. Thanks for the offer, but I'm happy with the results.

AGH. You guys are awesome. This decision is going to be SO DIFFICULT.

In response to the comment that I've marked a lot of different types of representations as "Liked", I will go through them all again tonight and narrow it down to some of my absolute favorites, in order to offer better feedback. However, I love the creativity - you've thought of paths I hadn't considered and they look great!

Well that was tough. I reviewed all of them again and updated the status. I've narrowed it down to my top 7 favorite, which I know is really still too many, but I just couldn't eliminate any more yet. There are so many really good ones! You all are doing a great job. Hopefully by noting some of my top favorites I'll help you find inspiration and/or redirection? Thank you for your time and interest in helping me with this special project.

One thing I noted in a comment recently is that recruiting is often completely silly and a total insane mess. I'm pretty laid-back and a little silly myself, so don't feel like you need to stick to a very formal suit-and-tie concept for this. I'd love to see you get a little loose too! All sorts of goofy stuff happens when you work with people, it's nervousness and silly clothes and bad hair and panicked hiring managers. A big part of my job is keeping everyone from falling apart! Hopefully this adds another layer of inspiration?

I think you are pretty clear what you are saying by firstday its an awesome for a recruiter company. I mean it has meaningful definition you get the job for even a fresher candidate who has never been interviewed before by removing the fear of firstday interview. I mean I like the idea a lot and felt that I wish there could be an organization even on my firstday interview.
