Brand Fanatics

Contest details

About your Company/Product/Service

Our company is a small company (4 employees plus freelancers) that specializes in branding services (brand identity, brand positioning, behavioral branding, etc.). Our company is young, dynamic, positively crazy. Our claim is "Mad about brands", we love our brand, we are fanatics about your brand and want to infect you with our passion and drive with the ultimate goal to make your brand strong and successful. USP of our services are that all concepts, tools, know-how, etc. are scientifically profound and validated and we want to provide extensive and informative conten. We differentiate ourself by being a branding agency, but we also offer complementary services in communication and creation. However, we do not want to be percieved as a "full service agency". The clear focus is on branding.

Special Requirements

The dominant colors are orange (hex FF951F) and gray (hex 1C2B39) as on the website. Other shades of gray (hex 808080, or something as the background) are also okay in the logo. Typeface is not set, so go wild! However, it should be easily readable (also in small sizes, i.e. 200 px) The format of the logo can be horizontal, vertical or squared, it MUST NOT be circular! The claim should not be integrated, as it may change over time, however, we appreciate a logo which provides space for a claim. The main requirement is an integrated logo which includes the mentioned colors, the company name and some additional visual (e.g. cheering crowd or something closely related to "fanatic"). The key image in web and print is the cheering crowd from the splash page of the website (see screenshot). Overall tonality should be strong, dynamic, young, fresh, virbant, bold, positively crazy, eager, insatiable. A certain degree of professionality and competency should also be conveyed. IMPORTANt: The current logo there (just the name) is a placeholder, you do not need to stick to that , please feel free to "go mad" with your design :-)

Target audience

In general: target audience of our services and offerings are small to midsized companies (highly subjective, I know, so rather: not necessarily Fortune500 companies) in any sector (retail, industry, services) and branch. Basically anybody who has a demand for branding services (brand management, etc.,). More specific: beside the general audience and target group we directly target smaller start-ups and creative ventures.

Your objectives

The aim of the logo and the website are to create attention and involvement. There are a vast number of agencies, the first appearance must capture attention and encourage to read on. The first appearance should be positive and trigger an emotional response. It should be memorable and possess a medium complexity in font and design (with regard to simplicity of perception and recollection) to ensure mental convenience.

Thanks for the design! I like the concept, however I find it a bit too juvenile and not really transferring professionallity and seriously! Could you adapt it somehow? Thanks in advance

If you can show us some logos you like
could be good for designers!

Maybe if you are collecting these designes from stocklogos.com could be good for site oweners too...
If you choose this way than links could be easier.

Is it possible?

@ Lawson: yes, I was referring to your logo! I like the concept, can you please try to make it a bit more serious and neat?

@ aaron2: I will post some logos here that I like. Maybe go and visit www.brandfanatics.de to get a feeling for the site. I like your logo, but I could imagine it for a vast number of ventures, I am missing a bit the direct and close relation to branding. Try thinking of what fans do/stand for/how and what they feel. When I thought of this I thought about people who cheer, who tatoo their favorite brand on their arm or back of the skull. If you search for "brand fanatic" in google, see what pictures you get.
For example, you could stick to my logo draft (font is midnight sunrise or midnight 2am) and try to incorporate a silhouette of a cheering crowd (many people, arms in the air, holding up signs) somehow.
Maybe go in the direction of the original concept of branding: hot poker, branding an animal so that you know it's yours!
Again, these are just ideas!

Hi,

http://stocklogos.com/logo/wines-world
http://stocklogos.com/logo/launchers

http://stocklogos.com/logo/garden-2
http://stocklogos.com/logo/travel-channel
http://stocklogos.com/logo/guitar-giraffe

http://stocklogos.com/logo/pethive
http://stocklogos.com/logo/penguin-software
http://stocklogos.com/logo/web-synapse

The thing I like most about them is that they integrate the company name and relevant, associated visuals (fork, puzzle, heart, giraffe, etc.) and combine them in a cute, neat, comprehensible way.

I hope this helps!

Here is one update:

the logo will appear (in parts) in different colors on the website. The three core services are branded in different colors (red, blue, green), and the word "brand" is in the respective color. Check it out:

Hi guys,

thanks so much for your drafts so far. I like them and they look cool. Could you try to incorporate and employ "brand/ing" and/or "fan/atic" a bit more in the visual as well, ideally both? Thanks so much in advance!

chiummog's picture

Hi,

here are some ideas which could be integrated as visuals:

http://www.kyleparke.com/data/images/texanvrs.jpg looks like a branded logo (like made with a branding iron)
http://www.draghirek.hu/webaruhaz2/kepek/nagy_kepek/felszajandek/BRANDINGIRON.jpg
http://bit.ly/Ktr9qi please so not redraw this one-by-one, this is just an pic to show you the idea - we go and brand you!

This is also something that would be suitable somehow, as it can also be found in the background images of the site: http://www.shutterstock.com/pic.mhtml?id=84725461

Hi guys,
does anyone of you have a good idea for a squared logo format or putting the logo within or onto an orange square which would work as a background?
