About your Company/Product/Service

We believe to know why some men have less problems than others getting to know a woman they like. That's why we offer 2 things: Live flirt coaching and "infield" videos (where you can see how we get to know women on the street).

Special Requirements

The site's background color will be white or black. I prefer not having too many colors in the logo. Writing either in small or upper case letters, either in two or in one word. Writing must look masculine. Logo needs to look masculine, dark, big, professional... Writing in 1 or 2 colors. In case you want to add additional words, pls. use "Understanding Attraction" (small or upper case letters).

Target audience

Male (from 16 to 50+), by the majority single, worldwide audience.

Gave detailed feedback to each logo but in general I have to say that the writing must look more masculine/stronger. The website is only for men :-).

BETTERDATING's picture

General feedback:

So far, I prefer the logo with the filmstrip (even though the content on the filmstrip must change) and the one with the movie clapper.

However, the logos must become more masculine, stronger, darker, bigger. It must be clear it's going to be a major website, a hub. You can read the feedback I gave so far for each logo (that probably shows you in which direction it should go).

I still hope somebody will try to create a logo according to the ideas I presented in the attached file (will change that file right now).

Looking forward to see some new logos..

Hi, Betterdating,

One question: what's the catch with the "live coaching"? Will you be offering flirt coaching online (video conferences?) or will it be something face to face too, despite the "worldwide audience"? Please describe a bit this aspect, it might give some useful clues...

BETTERDATING's picture

Hi Marius.

We as a team provide (for now) local face to face coaching... worldwide in terms of videos which will be viewable from everywhere... btw, people from around the world can upload videos to the site, but that info probably doesn't help in regard to the logo design...

Marius78's picture

Thanks for the reply.

You'd be surprised how much this kind of infos could help someone who's not only doing design, but also has a little branding knowledge and understanding.

Make a simple test: take the word "Dating" out of the proposals that combine a heart and a filmstrip/camera etc and I'll bet 9 of 10 people will think it's something about the love for the movies or romantic movies. Again, leave the word "Dating" (be given absolutely any attached symbol or image) and the same 9 of 10 won't fight the stereotype and think it's just another dating site (register, post a profile, send messages to chicks etc). All this, while actually the core of your business is COUCHING & TRAINING, where online movies, live discussions are only means and not a purpose. You might even consider changing the name, but this is a long discussion and I'll stop here before I'll sound too "clever" and contrast to this very sites meaning of existance. :-)

General feedback:

If you create a new logo, make sure you don't remove the old one.

I fell a bit in love with the following picture (only the heart, not the couple):

http://weddinginvitations21.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/Heart-Labyrinth-Sketch-Wedding-Invite.jpg

I'm not sure if one of you guys is able to create such a heart with (one or more) gear-wheels, in a similar style... would be cool!

ghostd7's picture

I don't think this image follows the brief: "Logo needs to look masculine, dark, big, professional... ". So it would be helpful if you specify which one stays and which doesn't.

BETTERDATING's picture

Yes it does. Very rational and therefore masculine logo. Psychologically rather "dark" (from a mainstream point of view). Psychologically big, actually infinitely big (the view through the heart only gives a glimpse of the "system"). Professional? Don't know, I don't have the experience to judge. But for me personally, yes.

However, the ones I "liked" are my favorites. But there are still 3 days so I haven't made a decision yet.

ghostd7's picture

OK. Thank you for the reply. The good think is that you are involved in the design procces.

Best.

Good luck for the other participants!

Hey Betterdating,

Guest what, I also agree with you.

I think there are some good, wait, not good but great designs available to choose from.
And also way better than mine. By far I must add.

But guest what, reading a few of your comments on most of the good designs...
of my colleagues designers... I think I choose not to design any other logo for you.

You see, a logo is something you need to keep as simple as possible
Not because you like a tree and a rainbow and of course the sea and the butterflies maybe a turtle...
you need to have them all on a logo.

A logo is something you want to keep as simple as possible.
The KISS System..... (Keep it simple stupid)

You should not be as selfish to only see it your way just because it's your business.
Guest what.... It will only be your business if you have any clients.

There for its better to please or think like your clients, then your self.

Also Trust us, the designers. remember... this is our specialty.

Sorry for being too frank and honest.

Again... good luck.

BTW, I have posted here because I have deleted my participating logos.
NOT interested anymore.

Bye.

JCGD's picture

Sooooooo.......
You have the heart,
then the movie strip,
oops I almost forgot about the mechanical parts
with the silhouettes of the couple in love....
and of course, add the name...

any fireworks?

LOL..... just too much for me!
OMG.....
LOL.........!

nadia's picture

agree with JCGD. You don't need to show everything on your logo. Many details simply do not look on any website. All famous recognizable logos are very simple. Think about the Olympic Games logo. Only 5 rings

BETTERDATING's picture

I know what you mean.

On the other hand, does a logo always have to be memorable? Depends on how famous it (or the company) wants to be. Probably my personal taste is more important to me than the memorable effect it has? You don't know..the only thing which is clear is that I will pick a winner ;-).

However, thanks for your input.

BETTERDATING's picture

Hello together

Thanks for the logos so far!

A bit less than 2 days left. Afterwards, I will start a discussion (1-2 days) in order to choose a winner.

Even though I am happy with several logos, new ones are always welcome!

Kind regards

paldesigner's picture

Hello nadia, where are you from?
I feel that you are palestinian

BETTERDATING's picture

Thanks for all the logos!

Too bad I can't further let modificate some logos. However, it shouldn't become an endless modification process.

The decision will be made within 1-2 days.

zanbata's picture

I could do one final adjustment of logo (but it cant be something to drastic).
And because you wont be able to see it before delivery I will send you both the chosen original design and the modified one.
