UBLoayl business model is to help Traditional Local Retail Store in many markets, to provide same stores with a complete online presence and in doing so provide online shoppers the opportunity to stay loyal to their local retail outlets.

Hi pglavey, just a few questions:

1. Does/is the name UBLoyal an abbreviation of something specific?
2. If so, do you/or would you prefer the full name and/or the abbreviated version?
3. If abbreviated, how do you want in written? UBLoyal, U.B.Loyal etc?
4. Have you had specific branding previously, and if so, could we see it so we can avoid duplicating designs etc?

Hello Derren,

1. It is an abbreviation of 'You Be Loyal'.
2. I would just prefer UBLoyal and maybe add a slogan caption to the logo.
3. Written as UBLoyal
4. This is a new business and there are no previous logos

I don't want an OTT logo that looks simply silly but as it needs to appeal to regular Joe’s I don't want one to serious either, nothing with a legal or governmental feeling.

I just would like to point out that even though I want the name as UBLoyal and not UB Loyal or U.B.Loyal you can have the UB placed over the Loyal as mahatta has done.

"U" is symbolized a bag in a shop
"U" is "You"
Arrow is symbolized an aspiration ahead and up, development of your business.
Arrow is aimed at "U" that is symbolized making purchases.

Short explanation of the logo are that it uses just black/white & pantone orange so would have no difficulty with colour issues when if it cam to publication. Using the bag to represent retail. The face to represent local/friendly/loyal & simply mouse icon for the nose to represent online. The tag line is merely an idea which can be altered accordnigly. Here is the relevance.

The shield represents Tradition. The origin is the star! The star symbolizes the one place where customers can continue to buy from their favorite store. The arrows spell out UB and act as guidance/ a way to direct you to the place that keeps the customers loyal to their local retail stores.

Hello all, I would just like to let everyone know that I'm going to let this run for another week before I start discussing changes to existing logos. I hope that gives everyone time to submit and have logos approved by admin. I'll of course wait for all submitted logos to be approved if submitted by the Friday the 10th UTC offset -12 (wonder if I did that right).

Hello all,

I've sent some time this morning looking through the logos and there are some good and some not so good. I think its best that everyone stays away from hearts and other symbols to represent loyalty as the word Loyal in the name ‘UBLoyal’ portrays this enough. A lot of the logos make us look too much like a bank or financial institution. Others make us look like we’re in the recycling industry and then others look like we are a support group. It’s great if the logo could portray the shopping aspect but if not please not like a bank or support group. I’ve nothing against the shopping cart but not used in the logo as an actually cart in the logo, make it so that the cart is incorporated into the lettering.

Thanks for clearing that up Paul. I take it from the comments you're making that perhaps while some of the designs submitted are now going in the direction you want (playful text logo that hints at shopping etc), the finish or execution needs to be tightened up to make a more cohesive and professional logo solution?
