The Message

The name "The Message" was selected because each and every gift has a message hidden in it. Every gift has a purpose to it. Taking this in view the name was decided. Please take into account that the logo has to represent the firm at corporate level. It should be catchy and should define the beauty and the perfection of the work we deal in.
We as an organization deal with the Logos of all our clients every moment of the day. Our logo should have the finesse of that matches our client's.

Need something Derivative, Radical, Abstract...
The designs so far have been very common, simple, naive...

Did not really like any of these that much!!!
:(

My dad was using "the Pigeon with an envelop" around 10 years back as the logo (not the same but similar)...
I do not see anything interesting as of now.

Hoping that the best is yet to come!

No, I do not want to go with my old logo any more...
And I would want to see something other than an envelop... Or if you're using an envelop do something great with it...

looking for something that creates a sparkle... looking for a perfect work of art... that defines the meaning of my organization's name as well as represents it at a corporate level. Our logo should be something to recon with.

I do not know what that something is, I'm still looking for it.

Any color apart from Black or a dark color would go...

If you're looking for something unique and unconventional, I suggest you check out look-look's gallery. But be sure to look further than first couple of pages since his gallery is vast.
I would also suggest checking out Nancy Carter's gallery. She has some cool designs.

Hi I have uploaded a logo for your consideration. Here's the thoughts behind my design:

Simplicity - not only is simple effective, but also scalable and remains effective in single color/any color
Parentheses - implied meaning, message, communication, clarification
Gift icon - obvious, but it tells a crucial part of the story
Color - I picked modern versions of corporate colors
Typography - nothing fussy, simple legible and strong
Icon - the graphic element is great on it's own and retains The Message (pun!) It'll will work great as a favicon! Also, as I have shown here, that color coding (perhaps for categories of product or areas of service) will increase branding efforts!

And I totally agree with the point that the graphic element is great and holds the concept behind The Message...
The point here is that even a small retailer has a gift icon as its logo, it is such a common theme that it'll take a long long time for a client to associate this icon with our organization. And we've been in this business for last 26 years now. I don not want this association with the logo to take another 3-5 years to make an impact!

Also, in this case there is a possibility that due to its simplicity and common appearance the client might forgets about it or might start confusing it with some other organization!

Let me tell you, this is an Indian organization, and here a lot of retailers have similar icons... and you can see these logos on a daily basis! I'm sorry, but this is the truth. To stand out, the logo should have its own identity!

I truly appreciate your designing, and I suppose many designers too appreciate your work that's why they recommend you, but frankly this is not what I'm looking for.

I would definitely like an Icon that represents my Organization's name, similarly as Black berry's logo does or Audi's logo, or Vodafone's logo... It might be a gift box or even an envelop! but it should stand apart!

The work you've done with eco dog, look book, urban farm, girl chat, sis n' me, run away ideas, star heels, photo pet, love stinks, black sheep are such clever designs and they stand out because they are different from daily icons like heels, sheep, ideas, chat, book, dog, love, photo/camera... I want something of that sort...

I would want to fall in love with my logo as well!!! It has to be mind boggling...

I hope you get my idea of "The Message"... We might have limited options but we have to get, "The Most Bestest of All" out of these options... (I've used all the superlatives i could in single sentence)

Meaning of the logo:

'The Message' hidden in a bottle which was a form of communication and is also a popular form of exchanging gifts nowadays. Hence the gift bow is attached with the cork.

Colour changes can be done.

I've changed it up some, made it a little more abstract, yet still retain meaning. I think this logo looks like it can play with the big guys - very corporate but approachable and friendly.

Key Ideas:
Asterisk - used to highlight, add *emphasis* or denote a footnote*
Ribbons/bow - subtle and far less literal, but strongly hints at gifts as well as multiple items
Parentheses - implied meaning, message, communication, clarification
Simplicity - even more simple for greater effectiveness, scalability, and black and white
Typography - nothing fussy, simple legible and strong
Icon - with or without text. Easy favicon! Color coding use for strong branding

I made an icon that is both an envelope and a gift box to include both your company name and your business field in it. It is colorful and a bit playful, but thanks to its simplified/stylized form it should hopefully come across as professional enough for you I think.
Since I made a white border around it I put it on a darker background here to show what that could look like, put on a white background the effect will - of course - be a little bit different.
The icon is simple enough to look good also in smaller formats, if you would want to put it on a pen for example, it would work just fine if you make the icon smaller and put it next to your company name instead of as here, above it.
