Flow

- We're looking for an organic feel, with inspiration from nature. So warm, natural and organic colors and shapes are important.

- We believe that we're looking for a logotype consisting of both a symbol (icon/illustration) and text.

- The logo must be able to be placed on colored backgrounds (possibly in an inverted format).

- We want to stand out from what can be perceived as our competition by such big fish such as SalesForce, SuperOffice, Microsoft Dynamics and smaller local fish such as Upsales CRM.

- The product is developed by Upstream (www.upstream.se) which is a company that wants to bring smarter solutions to people, and not go with the mainstream choice without thinking about if that's the right route for them.

Thanks for the quick response! Sorry, but no. I don't really see anything in your current portfolio that resonates with what we're looking for. Did you have any specific logo in mind?

You're of course welcome to create a new concept and logo for us to see what kind of things comes up. Feel free to ask questions if there's anything you're unsure of or if you need new information.

Here is a design pending approval. The concept itself as well as the text are highly versatile and can be changed at your request. This like colour, layout or maybe even the same text with a different symbol are all very easy to do.

Let me know what you think?

Hmm, I do like how the text is "flowing", but it does have a problem of being either hard to read or to easy to read it as "flaw". ;)

Also, visually it's ok but not quite as "organic" as we'd like it. Does this feedback give birth to any ideas? As I said, I do like the concept of the word Flow actually flowing. It is kind of interesting.

your feedback as stated by the other designers is a major help, we don't always get feedback so its appreciated, i will work on another option for you.

This is kind of tricky since we don't want to be confused or at least not tied to a "cloud based" solution. We're "web-based" which is an important technical distinction. Apart from that it feels as if the imagery doesn't really have much in common with what our product does or connection to "flow", either as a liquid form (not blue water ;) or the psychological state. Clouds and sun are nice, but not really related to us.

Hi there,

it does come off as a bit techy and boxy. We're really loking for something more organic and less used shapes and colors.

Interesting idea of using the greek symbol for the F though, but I feel this isn't quite what we're looking for.

Thanks for the Feedback, I'll keep it on the brief if you change your mind, and I'll come up with another idea.

I have pleasure in submitting a design for you: http://stocklogos.com/node/32486

I've opted for a strong typographic approach to this brief. Blackletter typefaces are rarely used in logo design these days, but after reading your brief description realised that this type of distinct lettering might be what you're looking for. I've taken an existing typeface and bastardised it to create a bespoke text basked 'name' logo, as well as a good text based 'motif.'

The use of blackletter typefaces has several advantages: it's unique and will be different to your competition. Black letter typefaces are a highly individual and skilled letterform to create - so the connection to the skill in crafting this letterform and the skill within your profession you seek to portray is obvious (I hope?). Blackletter forms are also very arresting to the eye.

Comments and feedback most welcome. Derren.

Incidentally, if any of these is suitable for you, please give me a hint and I will redesign it.

Make the best choice.

Hi everyone,

truly sorry for my falling out and the lack of feedback and communication after my first effort. As it stands now we ran into some internal politics that may or may not hinder us going forward with this branding. This is why I fell silent in this forum.

I apologize for not being in a position to buy one of these concepts (there are a couple which are worthy candidates). I hope to be able to get back to you even after this brief has closed after we've found a way to move forward internally.

/ Henrik

Hi Henrik,
I think this is not a problem, but it's up to admin to decide.
Little suggestion, add the logos that you like to your favorites, you will find them easier later.
Regards!
