About Yourself
I am an American living in Berlin, a comedienne that has been performing for the last 17 years in Europe, and now want to use my past experience to open an event agency in Berlin.
Target Audience
Couples with a desire for the different: themed events, dinner parties, engagement parties etc... Weddings for couples looking for the American extravagance combined with the European style. Companies with the desire for something different, from smaller ideas to letting the imagination run wild..everything is possible.
Your Objectives

I want to use the contacts and experience that I have gained here in Europe and what I have ingrained as an American and show the Germans how to test the limits.
Events with an edge, weddings with flair and intimate dinner parties with themes from Morocco to Moulin Rouge.
I need a logo that let's the people know that they will receive the evening they dreamed of whether they knew it or not.
Putting the ideas in our heads out there, hence the name:
Creative Heads.
Gala Evenings. Weddings. Events.

I want to stand out amongst the others and show the client that I am the one they are looking for. try to find the combination between cutting edge, modern and cool.

Good Luck..

Coreyott,

Great brief. I particularly like the fact that you have researched your color choices. Most people don't take that much initiative. Just remember, your color choices go out the window as soon as your business card or stationary has been photocopied. It sounds challenging though. Stay tuned...

I am glad the colors have helped, I didn't want to narrow it down too far... ;)
trying to open the logos, but at the moment am at "Access denied" so we'll see...create away!

I hope I have interpreted your brief the right way. I added my first logo at StockLogos.com:

I'd like to know your thoughts about it.

Kind regards,

Hello Coreyott,

I made something inspired by the swinging years.

Dear Coreyott,

I have uploaded my take on this project. As soon as it is released by Admin you can view it at:

The design is based on a Venetian carnival mask – the Carnivale in Venice being one of the more spectacular and memorable events in the world. I tried to keep it simple – a minimum of extremely small shapes or very fine lines and only two colors. Carnivale masques are usually gilded in gold, red, pearl and jewel tones – usually very bright and vibrant colors. So I made some adjustments to the colors to better support that idea and give them more contrast. Your chosen color palette has fairly low contrast. Contrast is important in logo design. When a logo is sized down, the colors have to have a lot of contrast in order for the details of the design to be recognized. Additionally, whenever it is photocopied it’s automatically converted to grayscale so the only difference between each color is it’s vibrancy. Further, in a world of logos, it’s easy to get lost in the crowd. In addition to its design, color can either help grab attention or hide the logo in plain sight. Which brings me to a topic often difficult to broach with clients. But I believe every client deserves honesty. With that in mind, here goes. The color palette you’re gravitating to feels very sedate to me. The slate-gray blues and dusty browns feel more like my grandmother’s living room than a gala event. Blue is a calming color and because of that, is often used to paint prison walls. Brown is an institutional and very low-energy color. There isn’t a lot of octane in brown. When I think brown, I think UPS. I might trust them to deliver my wedding gift, but I don’t expect to create colorful memories of that wedding doing it. Brown isn’t a color I would normally associate with a fashionable, fun, memorable event with a lot of energy. While these color combinations can be very stately and elegant (especially when paired with black and gold accents), they can also be very stodgy and matronly. So I think my concern is – and you can give as much weight to my opinion as you wish – the feeling I get from these colors is one of safe traditions not out-of-the-ordinary, think-outside-the-box events. I’m just wondering if you might end up sending one message (Creative and different) with the name of your enterprise and another, opposite message (brown, blue and boring) with the colors. Just some things to think about.

there are two new ones coming from me

Dear Melder,

I absolutely appreciate your honesty and after what I have seen up until now, I must agree with you.
I was also thinking the same thing, and now would like to open it up to whatever you creative designers can surprise me with...

Thanks again... I am a firm believer in being open and honest, and what you said is absolutely right.

So... run with it everyone and show me what you've got!!

I have to disagree with the issue of the colours. The pallete of the brown & blue seems fine & you should still be able to make an eyecatching logo using those colours. Thinking too much is always a constant problem with humans. :o)

I don't know if it is possible to sent two logos but if it is, i will send another one later today...

Hi Everyone..
I have a few favorites until now.. and have written in the comment area of those particular Logos. Until now, no response.. do you read the comments there also? About one week left on this brief, and nothing 100%.. so if there are more ideas out there, I would love to see them. Thanks and I really appreciate the hard work from all!

Was never able to open this and check it out on Brown... any chance of the Admin. allowing it?
It is still on the Access Denied Page... Thanks

It is possible that there is something technically wrong with the logo, so the administrator didn't release it. Metalsurf should have a look at the logo, just in case if there is a comment from the admin..
