Oi Bruna,

Fiz este logo pra Road solution Suite, se gostou ou não me dê sua opinião e me diga se estou no caminho do que você quer.

Obrigado

Thom

We spent our time for designing the most satisfying solution. In my opinion changing the brief now is ridiculous.

I think that the brief rules should be changed as soon as possible.

Is this really serious? From Road solution suite software to your name and what about fashion dealer?....

Seems to me that doing it this way you'd get two briefs for the price of one. Don't think I'll be uploading any designs for this.

The brief were closed because of name change, or closed before?

Hello Bruna, what happen here? you don't like any logo idea?

Hmm, so it seems we have a problem here. I would like to know more about the admins job, do they check logos at a technical level and the content of message only, or do they check the briefs too (and brief clients too).
Before going further I would like to know.
These are the preliminary possibilities that came to my mind. I am not saying any of these is true, but I have the right to question myself "what's going on?".
Now the "error type" ones.
1- Maybe it's just an error from the admin who mixed thinks up (well, error is humane...)
2- Maybe it a new brief badly posted (admin's error too).
3- This particular client (Bruna Ortiz) has made a mistake and no one corrected it (reason I asked what were the admins in charge of).
Now the "bad ones" that shouldn't be tolerated:
4- This particular client (Bruna Ortiz) is trying to do what Zigzag said (disrespectful and cheap).
5- This particular client (Bruna Ortiz) is not a real client.

I don't judge until knowing more, but since we have nowhere to speak between us (designers), I just put it here. Then again I am not accusing (yet).

I wish we would have a private zone, to discuss about stuff like that, a zone only available to designer with selective criteria (minimum briefing participation, minimum amount of logo uploaded, etc).
If this brief belongs to the second category of problem, then it's time to wake up.

Has anyone by any chance changed the brief by mistake...?

I'm contacting the client to find out... Will report back!

Sorry guys, I've made a big mistake, I wanted to cancel the logo and didn't know how to,so I deleted all the information and then when I tryied to buy a logo with my name I tought that I just had to put the new information.
It was a big MISTAKE.
Really sorry.
Bruna

And of course I'm a real person, why would I spend $30 for nothing? Think about it

Ben's picture

Hi Bruna,
My statement was badly explain, sorry. Obviously you are a real person. That's not what I meant. What I wanted to say is that it is a fact (see the large controversy discussions about design contest sites) that a few brief clients are in fact graphic designer or marketing professional that pay the 30$ just to have a vast choice of concepts. Afterwards, they just don't buy anything and "inspire" themselves, or buy one (our logos are most of the time cheaper that a normal project) and sell it as if it were their, since there is complete transfer of copyright.
On this site, there are tons of unpaid briefs, and there is a strong possibility that it happened.
I didn't accuse, I put forward hypothesis.

As concern your problem, I don't know what to say, since you paid for a project initially. You didn't say that the name of it could change and even in that case, what is the proof that the client is indeed trustful. You received concepts on what you asked, which is the "deal".
Then you just realized that you didn't want the software logo (weird, since it is such a specific project), and chose to change it. I am really sorry but, to me, that constitutes a second project, different from the first one.
Thus, should be another $30 payment, I am sorry but if you buy fish, you cannot come back the day after to change it for meat. I am sorry. That why posting a unique brief require a $30 fee: it implies more work from both sides.
In the same time Bruna, I don't want to be rude, then again we all make errors, but you should have contacted the administrators (they answer to mails in 24hrs) and written something about it here, to us, BEFORE doing what you did. I think no exception should be made and this should be considered as a second brief.

This name change happened in other briefs but with the difference that it was clearly stated that the name could change (it's up to the designer to decide if they give a try or wait, they aren't forced then), and even that is not correct and should NOT BE ACCEPTED by admins since it's an unethical practice going against designers (we have to be respected; providers usually are, aren't they?) .
I know is this money driven world respect is nothing versus money aspects, but well, I can hope.

Ben i understand your point of view, and you can ask the Admin, i've tryied to buy a new biref , and pay again the 30 for a new one, but for some reason didint work out.
Sorry and i dont want to go on with this discussion, I HAVE CLOSED THIS BRIEF BY MYSELF, SINCE I REALISED THAT I WAS WRONG, YOU CAN ASK THE OWNER OF THIS.
Thanks
BRUNA
